Introduction
Point at the bug. That's the whole product.
Jot is click-to-pin feedback for live web apps. Someone clicks the broken thing on a real page and types one sentence. The comment stays pinned to that element, and whoever fixes it gets everything they need to reproduce it.
Two people, one product
The reporter
A PM, a founder, QA, a client. Clicks the button that does nothing and writes "this does nothing". Never opens a dashboard, never reads these docs.
The fixer
A developer, or an AI agent. Gets the screenshot, the CSS selector, the URL, the browser and viewport, and — when the reporter recorded — a replay with console and network.
Every report carries:
- a screenshot of the page, with sensitive fields painted over in the browser
- the selector of the element that was clicked, and where on it
- the URL, browser, OS and viewport
- the environment it came from, if you tag one (
staging,preview-142) - an optional session replay with console errors and failed requests
How it fits together
- You add one script tag to your app. Quickstart →
- Reviewers open the widget on the live page and pin comments.
- Reports land in your inbox in real time. You triage, fix, and resolve.
- The reporter sees the fix arrive on their pin, and approves it.
Only the reporter approves. Resolved means "we think it's fixed"; approved means "the person who found it agrees".
