</Callout>

<Steps>
  <Step>
    ### Connect your workspace

    A workspace admin opens **Settings → Integrations** and presses
    **Connect Jira**. Approve access in Atlassian; the card shows **● connected**.
  </Step>

  <Step>
    ### Point a project at a Jira project

    In the project, open **Integrations → Issue tracker**. Choose a project, and
    optionally a sprint (**Active sprint / backlog…**) — leave it empty to file into
    the backlog. Press **Use Jira**.
  </Step>
</Steps>

A project files into one tracker at a time.

## What happens

* **File issue** on any Jot creates a Jira issue with the sentence, the page
  URL, the selector, and a link back to the Jot.
* Moving the Jot to **In progress** or **Resolved** in Jot transitions the
  issue too.
* Jot checks Jira every few minutes. When the issue is done, Jot shows it on
  the Jot and asks the reporter, on their thread, whether that fixes it.
